The 2022 edition of the IPL is about to start this week. And the big question is which team is a strong contender for the title. Obviously 2 teams immediately come to find, first one is CSK and the second one is MI. But apart from these two teams let's have a look which team might be a potential title winner this season.
Starting with KKR who came pretty close to winning the title last year but just fell short in the final against the CSK. This time they've made so many changes in the team. Mainly the leadership, they didn't even pick Eoin Morgan this year, who was the captain last year. But it was always on the cards as his batting record last year was poor. So they've chosen a young and dynamic player in Shreyas Iyer, who has already lead the Delhi Franchise in the earlier seasons. The KKR teams looks pretty good with some really good young players like Venkatesh Iyer. In the bowling department they have Pat Cummins, Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy, Tim Southee, Andre Russel, Shivam Mavi. The batting also looks strong with Shreyas Iyear and Venkatesh Iyer in good from. Also there is Nitish Rana and Mohammad Nabi as an all rounder could prove to be very useful.
There is also Ajinkya Rahane who might not be in the greatest of forms of late but you never know with T20 cricket, he might just find his form in this edition. So overall with the mixture of some all rounders and batters this team looks pretty good to me. Shreyas Iyear has a lot on his shoulders this year. As KKR will look to replicate their performance from last year.
