Things were getting bad to worse when CSK were 61/5. Then came the legend himself at the crease. MS Dhoni struggled early on facing the spinners. Specially against Varun Chakravarthy who has troubled Dhoni for last couple of seasons. But Jadeja on the other end was also struggling to time the ball, he tried hard but couldn't find the timing until the last ball when hit the ball for a six.
Dhoni after weathering the storm, just got into his groove and hit the ball beautifully against the quick bowlers. Some of the shots that he played were an absolute treat to watch. He turned back the clock and hit some wonderful shots. He brought up his half century in 38 balls and remained not out in the end. He hit 7 fours and 1 six in his innings. That helped CSK to reach 131 in their allotted 20 overs, which looked very difficult at on stage of the innings.
Dhoni also put up an unbeaten 70-run stand with Ravindra Jadeja. That has given CSK bowlers a chance to put up show with the ball.
