India announced their T20 world cup squad few days ago. Ashwin made a come back with his selection. But the big news or a rather surprising news was Dhoni's appointment as Mentor. Even though this is a one time thing and won't be continued after the world cup. People have different opinions about the decision.
Although most of the people and ex-cricketers are delighted with this decision. There are a few people who have raised questions on this move. One of them being former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja. He said that he is a big fan of MS Dhoni but this decision came as a bit of surprise to him, because in his opinion once the team is selected and a coach is appointed then it's their job to carry the team forward, with their plans and strategies. So this move might affect the planning and the way the current team management thinks.
On the other hand there so many former Indian players have expressed their happiness on Dhoni's appointment as Team India's Mentor. It will be very interesting to see how this move works out.
