Harbhajan Singh is all set to reach the landmark of 300 wickets in the Test matches. This great off-spinner has picket up 291 wickets in 69 tests at an average of 30.87 with the best figure of 8/84, 5 wickets in an inning 22 times and 10 wickets in a match 5 times. He is most likely to complete his 300 wickets in the four match test series against the Australians as he needs only 9 wickets to reach the milestone.
Keeping in mind his past performances against Australia he is expected to pick much more than 9 wickets. He likes bowling against Australia specially at home on the turning pitches. He is doubly dangerous in fourth inning, as most of the surfaces in India get loose on fourth and fifth day. Australian batsmen are already finding it difficult to face the India spinners in the warm-up matches. This is a good news for Bhajji and his fellow bowling partner Anil Kumble. Harbhajan’s best performance is of 8/84 is against the Australians so he will be looking the repeat the magic. It is very interesting to see how the Australian Batsmen handle the ‘Turbanator’ . Because when India went to Australia earlier this year the series was filled with lots of controversies and Bhajji was the main target as he was involved in an altercation with Australia’s Andrew Symonds. That’s why it is interesting to watch how Australian Players go about Bhajji.
On the other hand Indian fans are hoping that India will the take the revenge of the defeat in the Australian Soil.
