India's Tour Of South Africa (2021-22) : A Big Chance For India

India have never won a test series in South Africa since they started playing in South Africa back in 1992. India have managed to draw the series in 2010 (1-1) under Dhoni's captaincy but the series win has eluded them thus far.

This is a great opportunity for India to rewrite history and win the series against South Africa in their backyard. Even though India didn't win the series last time around when they were here in South Africa, they put up a great show. With Kohli scoring lots of runs and Indian pacers going strength to strength with South African pace attack.

If you compare the two sides now, Indian pace battery looks much stronger than the South African pace attack. Bumrah is in top form he performed amazingly in England earlier this year, so is Shami. Shami is the most consistent pace bowler for Indian in the last few years. India's third pace Siraj is also in a great rhythm and he can breath fire on occasions. In the spin department Ashwin is according to me in his best head space and bowling like a dream. So this Indian bowling attack is certainly a force to recon with.

As far batting is concerned India is definitely having some issues. With Rohit Sharma out of the test series due to an injury. They team will feel his absence as he was doing a fantastic job at the top. Luckily for India KL Rahul is also in good touch also with Mayank Agarwal, so they can prove to be a good option at the top. Beyond that Pujara, Rahane and Kohli they're all struggling for form. Specially Rahane, he didn't look good for a quite a some time time apart from scoring every now and then.

It's again a good opportunity for Kohli to get back in form and get his mojo back. I've got a feeling that this is going to be a Kohli dominated series with Indian pace bowlers also dominating the scenes.

South Africa got a big blow as Anrich Nortje is ruled out of the series after facing an injury. Still the South African team is very strong in their home conditions but India have a really good chance this time around to turn the tables and win their first ever test series on the South African soil
