The stage is set for the big finale, New Zealand will play Australia in the final of World T20 world cup on November 14, 2021. This is first time that New Zealand is playing in the final of a T20 world cup. Australia played a WT20 final in 2010 but they didn't win the title.
This is a very good time for New Zealand Cricket, they recently won the World Test Championship beating India in the final. They almost won the 50 over world cup in 2019. And now they are again very close to winning a ICC title. On the other hand Australians will be very keen to add another title in their pocket. Hardly anyone gave Aussies a chance to qualify for the final but they've performed very well.
New Zealand faced a big blow as Conway has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury to wrist. Still the Kiwis will be pretty confident with the form they are in. If they want to win the title then Kane Williamson needs to fire along with Martin Guptill. Daryl Mitchell is already in good touch, James Neesham played a great knock in the semi final. In the bowling department Southee and Boult are in good form so is Ish Sodhi, so New Zealand almost have all their bases covered.
Australia have the momentum with them. David Warner is in good form, Mitchell Marsh looks in good touch. Stoinis has played some good innings, Maxwell has also proved to be very good. Wade played an unbelievable innings against Pakistan in the second semi final. As far as the bowling goes Zampa is in top form, he is bowling with some quality. Pat Cummins, Josh Hazelwood and Starc all are in decent touch.
Overall this looks like a good match up between the two sides. New will be putting an extra yard to win their first ICC T20 title. Australia will be also eager to win their first ICC T20 title.
