When the England's first innings ended with a lead of 99 runs, there were few jitters in the Indian camp. But the Indian openers made sure that there wasn't another collapse. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma both batted beautifully, battled through the initial period when England bowlers were bowling really well. KL Rahul couldn't complete his half century still he did his job. Rohit Sharma on the other hand scored his first century outside India which world be a great relief for him, got the monkey off his back. Rohit Sharma batted extremely well, he looked determined. Scored his century in style with a clean six off Moin Ali. Pujara gave him wonderful support, he batting was fluent too. Rohit got out to the first ball bowled by the second new ball. It was an unexpected dismissal as Rohit Sharma was looking set for a big one. But credit to him for scoring a vital century when India were under pressure. I hope this is a start of a century streak for Rohit Sharma. At the end of 3rd day's play India are 171 runs ahead with 7 wickets in hand. Kohli and Jadeja are at the crease. The morning session on the 4th day could be a match defining one. It's an intriguing test match thus far.
